4T2-Portable
The 4T2TM-Portable test set is the most accurate, yet compact measurement solution for digital terrestrial broadcasting (DVB-T/-T2, ATSC) available today.
The system combines real-time measurements of RF modulation parameters (COFDM, 8VSB) with MPEG transport stream analyser functions in a robust and easy to carry instrument.
The 4T2TM 2012 release integrates the latest processing platform on the market with a 1920x1200 screen, i7 quad-core processor, and SATA-3 SSD. All programs in the transport stream are decoded at the same time by the 4T2TM-Content-Analyser. This includes MPEG-4 H.264 high definition video material.
Even with all the new features, the weight of the instrument has been further reduced down to 10kg. The optimised cooling system improves the reliability and reduces the noise at the same time.

- Spectrum compliance expert-function User defined mask and marker function with CSV, or clipboard export to leading spreadsheet applications. Automated shoulder, tilt, ripple measurements.
- SFN expert-function Single Frequency Network (SFN) parameters are collected from Megaframe Initialisation Packets (MIP), Network Information Table (NIT), and RF Transmitter Parameter Signalling (TPS) and displayed side-by-side. The Impulse Response screen displays the individual absolute power of transmitters forming an SFN, together with their relative amplitudes and frequency offsets. Violations of parameters are clearly visible, making the 4T2 an indispensable tool for trouble shooting.
- Coverage expert-function Quality parameters from multiple RF-channels, together with position information from GPS-receivers, and vehicle wheel sensors are combined into a single database. The results are visualised on a map of the area. The system consists of an application to automatically retrieve map-files from internet sources for off-line usage. State-of-the-art diversity receivers make the RF measurement results independant of the velocity of the measurement vehicle.
- Transport Stream Raw Data and Packet expert-function Extended trouble shooting power when transport streams can't be evaluated with other systems due to sync loss. Raw data will show whats going on even without a sync-byte. TS-Packets analysis employs powerful trigger and filter functions that go lengths beyond template checking.
